Diffuser q & a
Sohum diffusers last up to 6 months. Displaying your diffuser away from direct sun, such as a window ledge, will prolong th elife of your diffuser. Sohum uses natural extracts in its diffusers, some more delicate than others which will can affect the duration depending on the fragrance.
Most reeds are made from rattan, which can dry out quickly, causing your diffuser to take up more fluid. Sohum uses a natural fibre reed which holds moisture much longer than regular reeds, so they will last longer. In fact, our reeds will continue to carry scent, long after the liquid has diffused.
No. It is not necessary to flip your Sohum diffuser reeds. The reeds stay moist due to their natural fibres, and should not dry out. Flipping reeds may also cause small dust particles carried in the air to enter the liquid, which can settle in the remaining fragrance.
If your diffuser is too intense for your space, you can insert less reeds. Sohum provides a generous amount of reeds in the box, simply use what you need, starting with less and adding more if preferred. As an example less reeds could be inserted if being displayed in a bathroom or closet area, or more reeds inserted in a kitchen or lounge area.
The Sohum Reed diffusers can be safely used around children and pets, however ensure they are kept out of reach, to ensure their contents are not spilled, or ingested.
No. Reeds should never be lit, they are designed to diffuse the liquid only.
